What’s Included?

Nourish workshops use creative play to engage adult learners in ways that increase confidence, support well-being, and foster a sense of belonging.

Rachel Leonidas, Program Co-Facilitator, ProInspire

It felt thoughtful, creative, and well integrated. You offered a journey that wove together multiple elements into a comprehensive experience, which created a different kind of depth and engagement.

“What stood out was how quickly Michaela grasped the vision and translated it into a cohesive, impactful experience in just 30 minutes."

Kyle Powys Whyte, Professor of Environment and Sustainability, University of Michigan

Nourish's facilitated collage activity did exactly that, creating a grounded pathway for attendees — especially young people who otherwise felt disengaged — to participate.

"The People's Hearing organizes events across the country to uplift communities affected by environmental harm — work that requires a safe, supportive space and ways for people to express themselves non-verbally."

Kennedy Cockrel, Assistant Director, Consulting & Business Development Center Program Manager, The Tenure Project, University of Washington

One participant called it 'particularly profound' — people shared things they might otherwise have been hesitant to voice. Michaela didn't just guide the room; she held it. The collage activity let people express themselves beyond language, and the Activation Stations surfaced candid reflections anonymously while still building real collective support.

“We wanted to give junior faculty of color space for honest reflection and creative expression around the often invisible challenges of tenure."

When Washington STEM kicked off its three-year strategic planning process, they wanted to move beyond spreadsheets and shift into vision mode. Michaela designed a half-day collage workshop that helped staff break out of analytical routines and step into a more imaginative, relational space.

Working in small groups, the team created three triptychs—each one a visual expression of their long-term goals for justice, equity, and systems-level change in education. The process opened the door to unexpected insights, deeper collaboration, and new ways of thinking together.
